Here She Is...

Connecting People. Sharing Stories.

Serving with Purpose.

About Kathryn

Kathryn Davis is a 20-year-old, 12th-generation Pennsylvanian with deep family roots in Lancaster County. Born in Arizona while her father served in the United States Marine Corps, Kathryn moved with her family back to Pennsylvania at age two and has proudly called Lancaster County home ever since.

Today, Kathryn is a sophomore at Shippensburg University, where she studies History and participates in Army ROTC. She serves as Social Media Coordinator for Shippensburg ROTC and is working toward her goal of commissioning as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army after graduation.

At the heart of nearly everything Kathryn does is a love for people. Whether she is representing her community, advocating for blood donation, working alongside fellow Cadets, speaking with students, or meeting someone new at a community event, Kathryn has a natural ability to form connections and make people feel part of something bigger.

Her commitment to service was shaped in part by a life-changing experience at age 14, when she survived the 2021 LCBC youth group bus crash. Several of her friends required blood transfusions as part of their treatment and recovery, giving Kathryn a deeply personal understanding of the people and communities behind every blood donation.

Rather than allowing that experience to simply become something that happened to her, Kathryn turned it into action.

Turning Experience Into Advocacy

Together with her mom, Kathryn co-founded PhlebotomyFam, a blood donation advocacy initiative built around a simple idea: giving is even more meaningful when we do it together.

Through PhlebotomyFam, Kathryn encourages families, friends, and communities to make blood donation a tradition. She has worked with blood collection organizations and community partners to raise awareness, encourage new donors, and help connect people with opportunities to give.

The message “It Takes All Types To Save Lives” has become an important part of Kathryn's service and a reminder that everyone has something meaningful to contribute.

Leadership in Every Season

Kathryn's path to leadership has taken her through some very different worlds.

She spent years as a dancer and served as Dance Team Captain at Debbie's School of Dance, experiences that taught her discipline, teamwork, confidence, and the value of showing up for the people beside you.

She is also a graduate and former Senior Cadet of the Pennsylvania State Police Camp Cadet program, and today Army ROTC continues to challenge her physically and mentally while developing the leadership skills she hopes to carry into military service.

Her interest in history adds another dimension to the way Kathryn sees the world. She loves learning the stories behind people, places, traditions, and communities, especially those connected to the Commonwealth her family has called home for generations.

A Season of Service

Kathryn's involvement with the Miss America Opportunity began when she served as Miss Lancaster County's Teen 2024. During her Teen year, she served alongside Miss Lancaster County 2024 Noelle Schneider, who became an important example of leadership and service for Kathryn.

Kathryn later followed a special path first taken by Noelle, becoming only the second young woman to serve as both Miss Lancaster County's Teen and Miss Lancaster County.

As Miss Lancaster County 2026, Kathryn had the opportunity to represent the community she has called home nearly her entire life, support local organizations, advocate for causes close to her heart, and build relationships with people throughout Lancaster County.

Her experiences within the Miss America Opportunity helped strengthen Kathryn's confidence as a speaker, advocate, and community representative. More importantly, they reinforced something she already believed: meaningful service is not defined by a title.

Although a crown and sash have been part of Kathryn's story, her commitment to serving others began long before them and will continue long after.

Rooted Here. Looking Forward.

Kathryn's story is still being written.

She is continuing her education, progressing through ROTC, growing the reach of PhlebotomyFam, exploring new opportunities to serve Pennsylvania, and finding new ways to connect people with the organizations, causes, industries, and traditions that make their communities special.

No matter where the next chapter takes her, Kathryn hopes to keep doing what has become the common thread through every part of her life:

Connect people. Share their stories. Serve with purpose.

Stay Connected

It takes all types to save lives, and it takes all of us to make a difference. Follow Kathryn's journey through college, ROTC, service, advocacy, and the adventures still ahead.
